SmartDeploy version 3.0.1000 and newer now uses port 8080 for all local console-client communication. Ports 80 and 443 are also needed for communication with external SmartDeploy and other third-party services.
If you are on SmartDeploy version 2.0.3090 or older, the following ports to be open between the console host and any SmartDeploy client computers on the local network.
Note: You do not need to make your console host externally accessible for off-site clients intended for cloud deployments.
- TCP 80 - HTTP
- TCP 443 - HTTPS
- UDP 137 - NETBIOS
- TCP 445 - SMB
- TCP 8732 - ConsoleServiceWCF
- TCP 8733 - ClientServiceWCF
- TCP 8734 - ConsoleServiceSLWCF
- TCP 8735 – ConsoleServiceMCWCF
- TCP 8736 - BasicHttpBindingHTTPS_IServiceSL
- TCP 8737 - BasicHttpBindingHTTPS_IServiceMC
These PowerShell commands can be run from a client to test connectivity to the Console. (8734 and 8735 specifically are needed for client-to-console connectivity.)
